End of Year Student Gift Tags

4.22.2019
I just love sending kids off to summer break with a small toy or activity in their hands! The looks of appreciation and excitement in their eyes always warms my heart :) Maybe it's just me, but I find that it's a really nice, positive way to wrap up the year.

I normally give each kiddo a fun ball and super cute gift tag during the last week of school. The gift tag reads, "Have a BALL this summer!" (get it? a BALL...!) ;) I'll usually buy light-up bouncy balls or inflatable beach balls and they've always been such a hit!
If the balls I find aren't in some sort of packaging  (hello dollar store!), I'll put them inside a plastic treat bag, tie it with ribbon, hole punch my gift tags and thread them through. If the balls already come with a cardboard tag or bag, I'll just staple the gift tag directly to that. Easy-peasy!
Here are my favorite gift tags for my end of year student gifts. I either print the colored ink version on white paper or print the blackline version directly onto colored paper for a BIG pop of color - hello, Astrobrights! Aren't they CUTE?!

These end of year gift tags are ready to download from my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Enjoy!

Happy teaching!❤

Back to School Certificates {Printables}

8.28.2016
Where I live, school bells will soon be ringing and children will once again be back to the grind. My older kids are excited to go to school where they can play their with friends, but teachers know that not every child LOVES going back to school. And that's okay. But with some understanding, empathy and a little TLC we can help make it a better transition for them. That's one of the reasons I am such a big fan of Back to School Keepsakes

Above is a sample of my Welcome to 1st Grade Certificates, where I welcome each student to my class with a little message. I always attach a small gift to the certificates, usually a funky pencil.

To dress it up, I just hole punch the certificate, loop a ribbon through and tie a pencil to it. Voila! A heartfelt welcome present for each student on their first day with you!

I also have Back to School printables for other grades, including ones that say "Grade 1, Grade 2, etc.) as well as lovely "First Day of ________ grade" self-portrait and journal pages.  There's so much to do in the first week of school but aside from teaching our routines and transitions, I always focus on making each child comfortable and welcome. Luckily these printables and exercises are perfect for that!

Pretty fun, right?!

Product Details:

► In color and black and white versions

► Includes 2 certificates per page

► Print the page you need, add your student's name, then sign and date it

► Attach a little candy or pencil to each certificate for an additional treat

What a wonderful keepsake for any child to have!

Classroom Decor - Printables

7.12.2016
Sure, we're in the midst of summer break here in North America, but I can tell you that us teachers still have our classrooms in our minds. More specifically, we're already thinking and preparing for back to school!
Even though I find the whole "back to school" time super crazy, I have to say I LOVE it! The best part for me, aside from meeting all my new kiddos is setting up my classroom environment. I decided this year I'm going to run with a lime-green and pink theme, so I started putting together some printable resources that I'll be using throughout the year - and of course you can use them, too!

First off, I made this sweet little "I CAN WRITE" banner - I'm going to print it off, laminate it, add punch holes and string pretty ribbon through it. I love it and I can't wait to get it all put together!
Source
Of course right after I made that banner file, I had to get started on the next - we teachers sure love matching our decor items, am I right?! So I then went on to creating a similar file for my reading wall - it reads "I CAN READ" and just like the above banner, I can't wait to get this up in my room!

What do you think? I will be making  more banners for my room in this cute lime-green and pink pencil theme - and I for one, am super excited!

Are you already thinking of returning back to school? When does school start for you?
